About Westin Wilson

Since I was a kid I always loved two things competition and strategy. Never being blessed with natural athletic abilities I had to get creative in how I would win. I would study strategies and tactics. Wrestling was my first true love because it was filled with moves, counter moves and general strategies. It was not just about brute strength or speed. A somewhat weaker kid could beat a stronger guy if he had the right plan.

I eventually moved on from wrestling to mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2007. This opened my mind to an even bigger world. There are some many variables and so many different components it truly is human chess.  I have been involved in the MMA scene for over 10 years and in 2014 I turned pro in MMA.

I graduated from BYU in 2015 with my degree in Public Relations and Strategic Communications. I have been working the last 5 years for a software company doing business analytics and in my free time when I am not training for a fight I do a lot of freelance marketing, PR and management for MMA based companies and athletes. I have even had the opportunity to work for Mitt Romney and Evander Holyfield for their charity boxing match.

Through the lessons I have learned in the cage I have been able to apply that in my life to find success in whatever endeavor I am pursuing.

I do consulting work in digital media strategies, public relations and marketing and brand strategies. For any inquires please feel free to reach out.
